Meet Mo Jones McSwane, Sport Jones, and Janet Jones Romine the owners of Rubbish. Rubbish is a truly unique experience. One has to see it to believe it.

It all began on the backseat floorboard of a 1960's station wagon. On any given day you could hear three tiny voices from the back protesting, "No! Not another u-turn." We grew up hunting through every antique and junk store, every garage sale and pile of curb-side trash across the state of Texas and beyond. Our parents taught us that you never know what you might find. Guess you could say that antiquing is in our blood. Our parents, Peggy and George Jones, raised us doing arts and crafts shows. Our weekends began with packing the inside and the top of our car with hand-made treasures, leaving just enough room for us to sit. From string art, mirrors, jewelry and accessories, to crafts made from wood, rocks and even telephone wire rings, the Jones' would pull up to the show and start unloading. We've probably all said at some point in our lives that we are never going to do something like our parents did. Never say never. Here we are doing the exact same thing. U-turns and all, we are "in the business".

Rubbish began with a trip to the Round Top Texas Antique Show in 2000. All three of us pulled up with our 16 foot trailers and trucks ready to fill a 10'x10' booth. Needless to say, we realized very quickly an over-flow booth was needed. Thank heavens for mom and dad who flung into action and manned the 2nd booth. Since then we have perfected the art of setting up a booth for shows, spaces in antiques malls and stores, even owning a 2400 sq. ft. storefront. Although we are spread out across the state of Texas, Rubbish has a very distinct style. The three of us just fit together. We're family, the Rubbish family.
